Umbranomicon

Umbranomicon is a visual novel and animated dating simulator for players who enjoy fantasy adventures with a flirtatious edge. It stays light and character-driven rather than grim.

Story

Men have vanished from the world, and the hero sets out through a mystical, dangerous land to confront the Queen of Darkness. Along the way he meets a wide range of lonely, bizarre, and colorful women — some honest, some cruel, some kind — and must decide who to trust as he pushes toward the final confrontation.

Gameplay

Players explore a sandbox world, talk to and court the various women they encounter, and fight through turn-based combat encounters that stand between them and the Queen of Darkness. Charm and dialogue choices open up trust with different characters, while combat sections break up the exploration and relationship-building.
