The Midnight Lodge

The Midnight Lodge is a visual novel dating sim for players who want a supernatural mystery layered with gay romance. The tone stays moody and unsettling, with horror running under the drama.

Story

After his father's death, Ethan inherits nothing but a map, a ring, and old photographs. Following them to an abandoned lodge in Northern California, he puts on the ring and finds the building restored to 1955, haunted by three ghosts trapped in the days before his grandfather's murder. To free them and himself, Ethan has to figure out which of the three witnessed the killing and which one pulled it off, all while his own feelings for them keep getting in the way.

Gameplay

Ethan splits his time between the 1955 lodge and 2026, piecing together clues about his grandfather's death while getting to know the three ghosts trapped there. Back in the present, his dating app keeps him in contact with other men, including a few faces from his usual bar. The game moves through a sandbox structure, letting players choose who to spend time with and how each relationship develops as the mystery unfolds.
