Overview
SWM: The Lurking Shadow is a 3D visual novel for players who enjoy Star Wars-flavored adult fan fiction with a straight face. It plays its space-opera tone earnestly, saving the drama for the story itself.
Story
A young man, Kaylan by default, is pulled into a wide-reaching adventure across a galaxy modeled closely on the Star Wars universe. Action and drama drive him forward, and along the way the journey turns intimate as he crosses paths with others drawn into the same conflict.
Gameplay
Players move through the story as Kaylan, reading through dialogue-driven scenes and making choices that shape how his adventure and his encounters unfold. The pacing follows a linear episodic structure, with each chapter advancing the wider plot while giving space to character moments along the way.

Unfortunately, the save game for the original release from a few years ago won't work. If that's the case for you, you'll need to start a new game with this release.
