Penlight is a visual novel for players who want a slow-burn school drama with a darker psychological edge. The tone is quiet and unsettling rather than lighthearted.

Story

Kyou Koyama is nearing the end of high school with no friends and little direction, until he builds a modified penlight capable of influencing others through suggestion. He decides to use it on his classmates, starting with the class representatives, to reshape his standing among them.

Gameplay

Play centers on dialogue choices and conditioning sessions with classmates, where small decisions steer each character's mindset and route over time. Progress branches across multiple paths tied to individual classmates, leading toward one of several possible endings depending on how far and in what direction the player pushes each relationship.
