Story

Chinastu moves with her husband and daughter to his family village after he loses his job. The village runs on one open custom: marriage and love mean nothing when it comes to who a person can be with. Her father-in-law and her husband's old friend, now the village chief, lead the push to draw her into that custom, and the village closes in around her one relationship at a time.
