Story

Three years after the Fall of Beacon, Remnant is still marked by broken trust between nations and the losses that followed. The world's defenders, bound by the connections they formed during that crisis, remain at the center of events as a new darkness begins to stir once again.

Gameplay

Players explore Remnant's locations, talk with a wide cast of characters, and take on quests that often hinge as much on conversation as combat. Battles run on a turn-based Press Group system, where managing elemental interactions and turn order decides fights. Outside combat, players build a team from dozens of available characters while also setting aside time for one-on-one moments with individuals rather than the group as a whole.
