Overview
Forgetting is a visual novel for players who want a grounded romance story with a lighter, humorous touch. It plays calm and personal rather than dramatic or high-stakes.
Story
After receiving difficult medical news, the main character gets a new outlook on life from his doctor and decides to change course. With encouragement from a longtime friend, he sets out to start dating again, unsure whether he's looking for something lasting or just for company along the way.
Gameplay
Play unfolds through point-and-click visual novel scenes as the protagonist meets and gets to know different women. Choices shape which connections deepen and how each date or conversation plays out, with the story branching based on who you choose to pursue. Intimate scenes are presented through animated 3DCG sequences tied to the relationships you build.

Changes:
- Amy no longer has any reference to Trevor other than friendship.
- Amy no longer has anything other than friendship with Matt.
- Matt already had a back story about pining for her in college so conversations with him talk about that relapse and his flip out having to do with losing his 'shot' that he may never have had in the first place.
- Amy still confesses interest in MC.
- If MC rejects her, it isn't a missed moment, but a choice. This is also referenced later in therapy and a few other conversations.
- Twins scene is not going away but there is a warning that Trevor joins you. This won't please everyone but those who still want to see the twins in action can, those who don't want Trevor there can move on. As I still have the storyboard, I will likely add the original scenes as a sort of 'directors cut' at the end, a version that would not be a part of Steam so the overlords don't have a chance to freak out.
- Week 3 ongoing will have full date scenes for the week if you have chosen LIs. Week 4 will have lewd scenes for those relationships that continue. If you maximized your date card so to speak, there may be possible distractions but there won't any pick one over the other for these two weeks. For those that like the more instant gratification, they'll still be there. Maybe a couple more depending on schedule.
