Overview

False Idylls is an RPG for players who want yuri romance woven together with horror and puzzle-solving. The tone stays tense and quietly unsettling rather than playful.

Story

In a remote village cut off from the rest of the world, a mother and her two daughters live bound by a closeness that outsiders would never understand. Beyond their farmlands and forests, a century-long war has driven most of humanity into space colonies, leaving those on the ground under tight government control. As missing relatives, strange storms, and things that move in the dark press closer to their home, the player watches from the outside, and their choices decide whether the family stays locked in its private world or is forced to face the truth beyond it.

Gameplay

Players move through the story by exploring the village and its surroundings, talking with the family, and using items to solve puzzles that open up new areas and information. Progress is tied to a day-based structure with its own time slots, and stamina is spent to uncover documents and other story material as the mystery deepens. Dialogue choices shape how close the player grows to each of the two daughters, steering the relationships and the ending they lead to.
