Story

A young Ensign fresh out of the Academy joins the crew of the Alliance Superluminal Starship EXPLORER under Captain Arlena Willcox. After receiving a mysterious transmission, the ship sets out on a long-term mission to find and make contact with an unknown alien civilization, leaving the Ensign's future on board, and his standing with the crew, shaped entirely by the choices he makes along the way.

Gameplay

Players guide the Ensign through daily life and missions aboard the EXPLORER, making dialogue choices that affect how he's seen by the captain and crew. Decisions steer which relationships develop and how the contact mission with the alien civilization unfolds, with different choices leading to different outcomes over the course of the voyage.
