Overview

Edgeville is a 3D adult parody adventure for players who want a lighter, playful take on familiar cartoon-style faces. It's built for a casual pace, better suited to browsing and flirting than serious drama.

Gameplay

Playing as a male protagonist moving through the city in first person, you enter homes, talk to residents, and take on small tasks that open up new dialogue and adult scenes over time. Progress comes from getting to know each character rather than following a fixed path, so exploring different houses and streets is the main activity. Some content is tied to finding secrets and side details tucked around the city rather than handed to you directly.

Features

  • First-person exploration of a small open city instead of static menus
  • Parody cast styled after familiar cartoon character types
  • Dialogue choices that shape how relationships with residents develop
  • Cosplay and sci-fi/fantasy touches mixed into an otherwise everyday toon setting

Installation

1. Extract and run.

Changelog

v0.3.03b2

  • A popup now appears if you load an incompatible save file, helping you confirm if the complimentary save file was installed correctly.

v0.3.03

  • [] Add renders
  • 2 animations (already rendered) need to be brought into After Effects, and exported to the game.
  • [] Change dialogue
  • I had to make a change in the script to cut some content so it wouldn't take another few months of work. This means that some renders won't make sense without the narration fix.
  • [] Prepare the game for release
  • All that is left for this is to export all the Patren Member names and tiers to add to the Credits menu. I will be adding names that supported me from the last release, even if they cancelled as well, so it will take some homework to do that.
  • [] Prepare the data in the game for release
  • Whenever I'm working on the game, it makes sense for me to "turn off" certain features or game elements in order to test things out. They will have to be reverted back to the default state before I publish. They are as follows:
  • Put the Security Walls back up
  • Lock all doors
  • Return Job requirements to their default values
  • Save the Data out appropriately to the Save File
  • Revert the Run speed and character height
  • Turn off Debug Mode
  • Remove the Save Button from the Pause Menu
  • Turn on Special Events triggers on some scenes
  • [] Bugs
  • All game-breaking bugs have been addressed. The only one left is an annoying bug that makes you fall through the floor after you return from fucking Lois. An easy workaround will be to have you return back to the Neighborhood, as opposed to the Griffin Home.
  • CONCLUSION
  • This is about 4 hours of total work. However, I have family responsibilities and other things I need to work on, so a realistic expectation would be 2 days. (Sometime tomorrow).
  • Release schedule will follow the traditional schedule of higher tiers getting immediate access first.
