Dusk or Sensei

Dusk or Sensei is a 3DCG visual novel for players who like quiet, character-driven stories with a fantasy and sci-fi backdrop. The tone leans emotional and slow-burn rather than fast or comedic.

Story

A man returns from a war he can't remember, his body scarred and his past blank, to find a city where every man but him has vanished. Sent to a school not as a student but as the sole guardian of a group of troubled girls, he slowly realizes they carry wounds of their own — abandonment, grief, and things left unspoken. As he listens and stays beside them, their guardedness fades, and he begins to recover pieces of himself he thought were lost for good.

Gameplay

The game follows a linear visual novel structure built around dialogue and story choices as the protagonist settles into his role at the school. Progress comes from spending time with the girls in his care, uncovering their pasts and his own through conversation and key story beats, set against a dystopian, sci-fi-tinged version of the world.
