Overview

When We Were Young is a visual novel for players who want a character-driven festival story with frequent intimate scenes. The tone is warm on the surface but leans into darker, taboo territory underneath.

Story

Set decades before the events of Truecalling, the game follows two sisters, Inledya and Visenya, during the Lunasong festival, a two-week celebration of freedom and desire in their village. As the festival unfolds day by day, both sisters are pulled into their own paths of discovery, shaped by what happens around them and to them.

Gameplay

Players switch between Inledya and Visenya's perspectives as the festival progresses from morning to night, following each sister's storyline through the days of the celebration. Alongside the main narrative, an optional Hidden Fragment system lets players view side scenes from other characters' perspectives around the village, each one labeled by content type so you know what a scene involves before opening it.
