I'm the War Criminal 2 is a 2D RPG for players who want a darker corruption-focused strategy game with a sabotage twist. The tone is deliberate and grim, built around control rather than direct combat.

Story

A merchant hires escorts to guard him on dangerous roads, but he secretly wants them defeated and humiliated by the bandits along the way. Four skilled fighters are targeted for this treatment, each requiring repeated defeats before their resolve finally breaks. Rather than staying broken, they take their humiliation as motivation and return stronger, turning the job into an ongoing struggle between the merchant's schemes and their comeback.

Gameplay

Combat removes fighting, defending, and fleeing entirely; the player can only watch, intervene, or use items while an ally battles bandits. Interventions let the player disrupt her performance directly, from grabbing and distracting her mid-fight to slipping in status ailments, swapping items, or tampering with equipment and drinks beforehand. Trust earned with each escort becomes a tool as much as a bond, letting the player get away with sabotage without being caught. Since each of the four women needs to be defeated multiple times to truly break, the loop repeats across the game's management and preparation phases between encounters.
