Overview

UNVEILED: The Guardians is a 2D adult fantasy game for players who want puzzle-solving mixed with monster girl encounters. The tone is patient and deliberate rather than fast or lighthearted.

Story

A wrong step through the Veil leaves the protagonist stranded in a body that isn't his own, dropped into a world he doesn't understand. Getting home means passing through a series of guardians — beings who are ancient, unhurried, and unwilling to let anyone through until they've earned it. There is no shortcut and no apology waiting on the other side, only the slow work of proving himself to each one.

Gameplay

Progress is built around solving puzzles tied to each guardian, since none of them yield ground without being met on their own terms first. Success opens scenes with the monster girl guardians, using a 2D art style built around AI-generated CG. The loop repeats across the different worlds and guardians, with each puzzle acting as the gate between the player and the next step home.

Features

  • Guardian encounters built as individual puzzle gates rather than a single continuous challenge
  • 2D character art with AI-assisted CG scenes
  • A rotating cast of monster girl guardians, each governing her own world and trial
  • Unlocked scenes are saved to a gallery for replay

Notes

Voice acting for the guardians is being added scene by scene rather than all at once, so some guardians currently have voiced scenes while others do not yet.

Installation

1. Extract and run.

Changelog

v1.4

  • Original Japanese voice acting is being added to the guardians, scene by scene. When you unlock a scene, you now hear her — and you can play it back any time from the gallery.
  • It's rolling out gradually , one guardian at a time. Nefira and Sylvara speak first — their scenes are voiced now — and the rest of the roster follows across the coming updates, so the game keeps gaining voice with every version.
  • A voice slider joins the options panel, separate from music and sound, so you can set the balance exactly how you like it.
  • A note on how it's made: like the artwork, the voices are generated with the help of AI and then hand-curated and edited to fit each guardian. I'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.
  • Two New Guardians
  • Theia, the Oracle of the Sunlit Temple , keeps a marble realm bathed in endless golden light.
  • Vermilia, the Crimson Temptress , rules a realm of low red fire and open hunger.
  • A Journal — Never Lose Track
  • New this version: a per-guardian Journal that lays out exactly what you've earned and what still waits — scenes, bonuses, endings, and videos, ticked off as you unlock them.
  • Reads Right on Mobile
  • The post-trial dialogue could get stuck on smaller screens, hiding the button that carried you onward. That's fixed — the story scrolls cleanly on a phone now, so nothing traps you between scenes.
  • Continuity & Fixes
  • Voice playback now triggers on a scene's first unlock , not only in the gallery — you hear her the moment she gives you the scene.
  • A continuity pass across names, worlds, and small details, brought into line across all twelve guardians.
  • Assorted stability and polish fixes under the hood.
