Overview
Unexpected Consequences is a 3D visual novel dating sim for players who like slow-burn drama mixed with mystery. The tone leans emotional and suspenseful, with romance woven through a darker investigative plot.
Story
A sophomore at Ocean City University is still shadowed by the death of a close friend and the loss of his parents three years earlier. When two new women enter his life, old wounds resurface, reconnecting him with his first love and pulling him into an investigation with former FBI colleagues of his parents. What starts as personal grief turns into a hunt for a syndicate whose reach goes well beyond the university, and the protagonist finds himself facing choices with life-and-death weight.
Gameplay
Play centers on dialogue and choice-driven scenes as the protagonist moves between university life, personal relationships, and the unfolding investigation. Decisions shape which women he grows closer to and affect how the syndicate storyline develops, with some choices carrying consequences that surface later. Alongside the main plot, the game includes intimate scenes with the cast as relationships deepen.

- Chapter 3 picks up right after the conclusion of Chapter 2, and part 1 includes several days of content as you prepare for the mission that serves as the chapter 3 climax and enjoy the company of some of the lovely ladies in your life.
- In addition to the new content, this version updates the Image and Replay galleries, dividing them by chapter, and has some minor dialogue updates on day 54. All animation videos have also been re-encoded for this update, reducing the game's overall size while slightly increasing the image quality of the animations. There are also a few bug fixes, including one that would prevent you from continuing the story if you turned down the threesome with Jamie and Kat on day 56. Finally, I have corrected multiple typos as well.
