Overview
TUNNEL ESCAPE Fates Entwined is a 2D RPG for players who want dark survival horror mixed with adult content. The tone is grim and tense, with little room for humor.
Story
A zombie outbreak has overrun the city, and the heroine's attempt to escape the infected leads her into a hidden underground laboratory. What she finds there points to a secret behind the outbreak, and she sets out on a longer journey to stop it and help humanity survive.
Gameplay
Players guide the heroine through turn based combat against infected enemies and monstrous threats encountered in the lab and beyond. Encounters carry risk beyond simple damage, with status effects like sensitivity buildup affecting how battles play out. Items and potions can be used to manage these effects, and equipment choices, including a weapon tied to keeping the heroine's status intact, shape how fights unfold.
