Overview
The Shadow of Olympus is a text-based visual novel for players who want dark mythological fantasy with heavy adult content. The tone is grim and exploitative, built around a woman losing control of her own fate.
Story
Philtra is a young woman drawn into the court of Olympia, a city ruled by immortals and royals who answer to no one. As she becomes entangled in their schemes, she is pushed toward a path of ambition that demands constant compromise, forcing her to decide how far she'll go, and what she'll allow to be done to her, to secure a future among the powerful.
Gameplay
Play unfolds through branching text passages where choices shape Philtra's path, including a route built around investigation and political maneuvering rather than divine favor. Players read through her encounters with gods, royalty, and other figures of Olympia, choosing how she responds to pressure, temptation, and threats as her story diverges depending on the direction taken.
Features
- Multiple narrative paths, including an investigative route centered on uncovering Olympia's conspiracies
- A large, text-driven story with extensive branching dialogue and choices
- Fantasy setting blending divine politics with personal survival
- AI-generated character art accompanying key scenes
Notes
This game includes non-consensual and coercive content, along with themes of corruption and humiliation, presented without softening. Readers sensitive to these subjects should approach with that in mind.

Updates:
- 1) Chapter 1 of the godless path is now complete. In this storyline, Philtra leans into her investigative skills, uncovering the people behind Olympia's major conspiracies and the motivations driving them. Rather than relying on divine intervention, this route emphasizes observation, infiltration, political intrigue, and gradually piecing together the truth behind Aulon's downfall.
- 2) The first storyline is now complete with all three fully playable Chapter 1 routes: the Aphrodite path, the Ares path, and the godless path. While all three routes share the same major world events and political framework, each offers a vastly different perspective on those events through unique allies, skill sets, investigations, scenes, and outcomes, encouraging multiple playthroughs to fully understand the larger narrative.
- 3) The godless path places a much stronger emphasis on the history of Aulon, the politics surrounding the Olympian throne, the brothel's espionage network, the thieving guild, and the gradual uncovering of the conspiracy behind the massacre. Rather than simply witnessing events unfold, players are tasked with following leads, connecting clues, and discovering how seemingly unrelated people and incidents fit into a much larger political scheme.
- 4) All route drifts are now fully implemented, including every possible transition between the three Storyline 1 routes. Whether moving from Aphrodite to godless, Ares to godless, godless to Aphrodite, or godless to Ares, every permutation is now complete. These different paths establish distinct relationships, knowledge, motivations, and skill sets that carry forward into the same Chapter 2 route, allowing different versions of Philtra to arrive at the same destination through very different journeys.
- 5) Development has now shifted to Storyline 2, which will complete Chapter 1 and bring Shadow of Olympus to Version 1.0. This storyline revolves around Erythia and is by far the most ambitious part of the project so far. Players who have paid close attention to Erythia's appearances and actions throughout the different Storyline 1 routes will already have some clues about what is to come. Unlike the first storyline, Storyline 2 will provide far less handholding and expects players to understand the world's lore, recurring events, and character motivations established throughout the previous routes. Completing and understanding Storyline 1 is therefore highly recommended before beginning this final Chapter 1 storyline.
- 6) With this update, Shadow of Olympus has now grown to over 818,000 words across more than 1,200 passages. The completion of Storyline 2 in Version 1.0 will mark the completion of Chapter 1 in its entirety before development shifts fully toward Chapter 2.
