The Nighrest

The Nighrest is a 3D visual novel for players who like slow-building horror mixed with romance. The mood stays tense and mysterious rather than lighthearted.

Story

A young doctor arrives on a remote island to train under a renowned physician, only to find her missing without explanation. With no one else to guide him, he takes over as the island's sole doctor, treating its residents while strange, unexplained events pile up around him. At the center of it all is a presence known as The Nightrest, and uncovering who or what it is becomes his only way to make sense of the island's secrets before they overwhelm him.

Gameplay

Play centers on the doctor's daily routine on the island: attending to patients, talking with the people he meets, and following branching conversations that shift depending on his choices. As trust builds with certain characters, new story paths and scenes open up, while the paranormal thread running through the island slowly comes into focus. Choices affect both the relationships he forms and how much of the island's truth he's able to piece together.
