The Edge of the Map

The Edge of the Map is a sandbox visual novel for players who want an open-ended adult life-sim with room to define their own path. The tone stays flexible, shifting with whatever direction the player chooses.

Story

After walking away from an old life and identity, the player starts over in a new town with no set role waiting for them. What follows is shaped entirely by choice: building something legitimate, turning to crime, or settling into a quieter domestic life, with consequences and relationships forming along the way.

Gameplay

Play centers on free exploration of the town, where the player can pursue work, crime, hacking, or relationships depending on their chosen path. Progress comes through management-style decisions and puzzle elements woven into daily activities, alongside dating-sim style interactions with the people encountered along the way. There's no fixed route, so the player's choices about identity and lifestyle steadily reshape the game world around them.
