Overview
The Beautiful Game is a choice-driven adult visual novel for players who like sports settings mixed with romance. It plays out with a warm, humorous tone rather than a dramatic one.
Story
After finishing his studies, the protagonist takes a job as assistant sports scientist and masseur for Ocean City FC, an elite women's football club coming off a disappointing season. Working closely with the players and staff, he's tasked with helping the team return to form while navigating the personal relationships that come with the job.
Gameplay
Players move through a calendar of days at the club, choosing how to interact with teammates and staff during training, treatment sessions, and downtime. Conversations and choices shape which relationships deepen, whether the player pursues one partner or several, and how events unfold, with some decisions branching the story into different paths.

- a key choice which splits the game. this takes place during the calendar shoot, so you might want to save your game in case you want to replay in future. remember you can now name your saves (check the option is enabled in Options),
- dynamic player squad screen, which updates according to who is in your squad according to your player choices,
- in-game easter egg walkthrough, which is accessible from the trophy room screen by clicking on the key icon in the bottom left of the screen - as a result I have deleted the link to a trophy walkthrough further down this page because it is redundant.

- fixed errors
- optimized solo LI route, which makes a big difference for the Jasmine solo route

- fixed some animations (waywards hands, imperfect looping etc.)
- SFX added to all animations where relevant
- re-did all football scenes to use high quality grass textures and football goals. this makes these scenes now pop.
- re-done jasmine spa scene, which had to happen because of a rights issue. the artist that created the Kirara asset changed their licence from one that allowed Commercial use to one that is IP-Restricted, because they decided their model was based on a real-life Japanese person. As a result, I had to ditch that model and re-do the scene. I think you'll find this scene is now hugely improved, with a totally different outcome. It's gone down brilliantly with my testers.
