Overview
Swing the Spoon is a 3D dating sim and sandbox for players who like slow-burn romance built around everyday routine. It favors patience over spectacle, with a calm, character-focused tone.
Story
After losing his job as a chef, a young man with no real prospects unexpectedly comes into some money and decides to open his own restaurant. He rents a closed restaurant with an attached apartment building from Patricia, the landlady, who along with her daughter Liz once ran a restaurant of their own. The two women offer to work for him, and what starts as a business arrangement turns into an unusual shared household where running the kitchen and living alongside these two women become equally complicated.
Gameplay
Play revolves around managing the restaurant, buying ingredients, keeping the kitchen and rooms clean, and paying rent and wages on schedule, alongside free time spent exploring the house, the surrounding area, and getting to know roommates and neighbors. Progress with each character depends on paying attention to their personalities and habits rather than quick, uniform interactions. Exploration is rewarded, with some scenes only surfacing through curiosity, repeated effort, or piecing together clues around the building.
Features
- A small, character-driven cast rather than a large roster of interchangeable love interests
- Restaurant management woven directly into the relationship and exploration systems
- Optional scenes tied to exploration and observation, including moments built around spying on housemates and neighbors
- Everyday domestic settings — kitchen, apartment, gym, bank, basement — used as the backdrop for both work and romance
Installation
1. Extract and run.
