Overview
Sunrise City is a visual novel with deck-building elements for players who like adult stories set in academy backdrops. The tone stays grounded, focused on investigation and character interaction rather than spectacle.
Story
During the school holidays, a student in the Battle section of Onyx Academy looks into a group operating in secret within Sunrise City. The break from classes gives him room to dig into the group's activities while the city around him keeps moving.
Gameplay
Players guide the protagonist through his holiday days, managing his time between story missions and the people he meets along the way. Combat uses a turn-based, deck-building structure layered onto the visual novel format, while relationship and romance threads with the city's women unfold through dialogue and recurring encounters in a sandbox-style structure.
Features
- Turn-based combat built around deck construction rather than simple stat checks
- 2D character art styled after manga and comic art
- A mix of investigation, combat, and social scenes within one open holiday timeline
Installation
1. Extract and run. Note: Don't put the game in an unnamed folder using alt+0160, otherwise no graphics will load.
