Overview

Sunny Drift is a 3D visual novel for players who like family-centered harem stories with a supernatural twist. The tone mixes domestic awkwardness with lighter fantasy weirdness.

Story

After years away, the protagonist returns home looking for a quiet life, only to walk into strained family reunions and unexplained magical disturbances. A mysterious woman found inside a chest tells him he's now tied to something far larger than himself, pulling him into a town that has grown stranger than the one he left behind.

Gameplay

Players move through the protagonist's daily life as he reconnects with family and meets the women drawn into the town's growing strangeness, including the woman from the chest. Choices shape how relationships with them develop over time, set against the backdrop of the town's magical undercurrents.

Hey everyone,
First of all, thank you so much for your patience and support. I know this first update took me a while, and I want to be honest about why. Life has been rough lately—my grandma passed away, and between school, work, and learning how to actually make this game, things got delayed. I’m a complete beginner at game development, and sometimes even the simplest things take me weeks to figure out (like getting videos to work—it literally took me a month).
I’ve been learning a lot along the way—how choices and traits work, how actions stack, and I even tried making my own maps (: it was a disaster, but I learned a ton). The learning curve is steep, but every step forward makes the game better. I know there are creators out there who are way more experienced than me, but I promise over time the quality and the update speed will improve.
My game is always going to be free. This Patreon exists so that people who really care about the project can give feedback and help me improve. I’m trying to make something unique, something with my own style, even if I take inspiration from bigger creators. Sometimes I’ll mess up and accidentally use something that looks too much like a popular item or hairstyle—I genuinely don’t know every reference out there. If you notice it, please call me out—I’ll appreciate it and fix it.
I’m a solo creator, and for now I’ll be working alone while balancing university and a full-time job (which already takes a lot out of me every day). But I’m committed to making this game better and better with each update.
