Overview
Summertime Saga is a 2D dating sim sandbox for players who want a long-running slice-of-life story with a comedic, small-town setting. It's built for readers who enjoy juggling relationships and personal goals alongside a lighter mystery thread.
Story
After his father dies under suspicious circumstances, a young man starting college discovers the debt his father owed to a group of dangerous criminals. Between untangling that danger and the ordinary pressure of finding tuition money, he also has to figure out who to ask to prom.
Gameplay
Players explore the town's homes, school grounds, and local businesses in a point-and-click sandbox, picking up odd jobs and side quests to raise cash while chatting up the town's residents. Progress is split between earning money, leveling up stats through short minigames, and following individual character storylines that unlock new scenes and locations. Choices about who to pursue and how to spend time shape which relationships and story branches open up.
