Overview
Subverse is a turn-based strategy and adventure hybrid for players who want a mix of combat, dialogue, and adult content in one package. The tone is irreverent and comedic rather than serious.
Gameplay
Players move between XCOM-style tactical combat, arcade-style spaceship shooting sections, and dialogue-heavy scenes written with a comedic, irreverent edge. Progress through these systems gradually opens short animated sex scenes tied to the crew of women the player interacts with. The result is a game that shifts between strategy layers and narrative-driven downtime rather than sticking to one genre.
Features
- Turn-based tactical battles alongside separate shoot-em-up space combat sections
- Fully animated 3D sex scenes with voice-acted performances
- A roster of monster girl companions, including quieter, non-sexual cuddling moments
- Comedic, fast-paced dialogue writing throughout
Installation
1. Extract and run.
Changelog
v1.2.01
Bug Fixes:
- Outfits
- Fixed issue where Lily, Sova and Taron had extremely stretched out boobs, hair, etc when wearing the Sweater outfit in Pandora.
- Fixed issue with Lily’s neck and waist where a large gap could be seen when wearing the Pilot outfit in Pandora. Further improvements will be made.
- DEMI’s Butterfly Lingerie was orange and is now blue as intended.
- Space Combat
- Fixed issue where enemy ships not moving on Unity Ambush Sova fight.
- Dialogue Sections
- Fixed artifact visible during Erark’s hologram scene.
- Audio
- Fixed issue where background music played during dialogue scenes would play at a very low volume if the player loaded a save game that starts a dialogue section. It would only resolve itself after boarding the Mary Celeste and other instances.
- Known Issues (Does not include all issues)
- UI
- Some UI elements are currently loading at low resolution.
- Some SFX on buttons are missing.
- Navigation
- There is 1 anomaly in the Hydra Nebula that is not accessible due to a future update.
- Space Combat
- Some boss fights may still need tuning based on sponginess and player feedback.
- Improve Gamepad Support.
- Grid Combat
- Some boss fights may still need tuning based on sponginess and player feedback.
- Blythe’s “W” attack will receive a VFX overhaul.
- Damage preview is not accurate in some cases.
- Pandora
- The sweat skin is not noticeable when the Visual Effects setting is set to lower than high.
- Blythe shrank a few inches during her neutral idle! She should be back to normal height in a future patch.
- Some lighting issues persist on certain Pandora scenes at settings lower than the max.
- Dialogue Sections
- A few visual novel scenes still need additional revamping.
- Erark’s hologram cuts off at the elbows.
- Some physics issues persist on characters like Celestina and Huntress.
- Audio
- Taron has 3 audiotapes that are not yet in the game.
- Outfits
- There are clipping issues in DIS and Pandora with the new outfits. These will be patched at a later date.
- Performance
- Reports of crashes during the dialogue sections of the game.
- Alt-Tabbing potentially can cause the game to crash, especially during areas of the game where high loads take place.
- Yellow/White screen flashing artifact during space combat when using the FXAA aliasing method. Most likely due to the lens flare and or high bloom values.
- Switching through waifus quickly in the Gifting section of the Bar might not load the Gifting UI. Leaving the room and re-entering can fix this temporarily.
NOTES:
- If you encounter pak file decompression related crashes try verifying integrity of game files as this usually fixes the issue
