Overview
Staying at Home is a visual novel dating sim for players who like slow, character-driven drama with an adult edge. The tone stays grounded, favoring personal conflict and everyday routine over spectacle.
Story
Michael returns home after a tragedy in his household to look after his roommate Alice, and the two navigate grief and loss together. The story follows how their relationship and personal struggles evolve over time, alongside the arcs of other people in their lives.
Gameplay
Players guide Michael through daily life at home, making choices that shape his relationships and how the people around him react to him. Decisions affect character attitudes and open different paths, including routes that lean into jealousy, rivalry, or romance depending on how choices accumulate. The game is presented through 3D-rendered scenes and animated sequences tied to key story moments.
Features
- Multiple character arcs that develop independently alongside the main story
- Choice-driven paths that shift based on accumulated relationship stats
- 3D character models with animated key scenes
- Themes of voyeurism and infidelity woven into certain routes
Installation
1. Extract and run.

- Plus 113 that were re-rendered
- 7 unique animations
v0.2
- 112 renders re-rendered from the first version. The beginning of the game was slightly changed, but your old saves should still work.

- 9 new special renders for the gallery
- Total: 1010 renders (I'm including the renders from the animations here)
