Star Spawn

Star Spawn is a 2D action-platformer for players who want alien creature encounters with a lighter, playful tone. It moves at a quick pace and keeps its focus on combat and connection in equal measure.

Story

A fox finds himself alone on Planet Zargia, a world full of strange alien life. Survival here means facing down what the planet throws at him, one encounter at a time.

Gameplay

Movement is built around Metroidvania exploration and side-scrolling platforming, with a free-aim and aim-lock system layered onto familiar 8-way directional shooting. Combat pits the fox against minibosses and a larger world boss, each offering a different way to end the fight. Pixel art animation carries both the action and the aftermath.
