Overview

Southern Nights is a 3D visual novel for players who want a slow-burn family romance set in the rural 90s. The tone is warm, sun-soaked, and unhurried.

Story

Sent south for the summer after failing a grade, the player character is stuck studying under a mother and aunt's watch while living alongside their cousin. What starts as forced closeness turns into a slower pull between the two, as the player's private curiosities push against family lines and small-town boredom during a long, hot season.

Gameplay

Play as either a male or female protagonist moving through a sandbox household and town, choosing when to study, explore, or spend time with family. Interactions build toward the cousin relationship over time, with the day split into different periods that open up new places and people to watch or approach. Choices shape how open the cousin becomes and how far the player's own habits are indulged along the way.

Notes
