Overview
So See Your Path Remaster is a 3D animated visual novel for players who want a drama-driven adult story with a male lead. The tone leans on personal stakes and rivalry rather than lighthearted fantasy.
Story
A filmmaker who staked everything on one project returns home after a public fallout that left his reputation in doubt. Back in familiar territory, he's pulled into a succession fight over a massive family conglomerate while old wounds with former partners resurface, forcing him to reckon with his past as he tries to prove himself again.
Gameplay
Players move through the story from scene to scene, making choices that shape the protagonist's relationships with the people tied to his past and to the conglomerate power struggle. A cast menu tracks the main characters and their mothers, along with bios and the decisions made along the way, giving players a way to keep the growing cast and its history straight as the story unfolds.
Features
- Rendered 3D scenes with animated sequences throughout
- In-game cast reference menu with bios and decision tracking
- Story centered on industry politics, family succession, and personal fallout
- Adult content woven into a character-driven drama rather than a loose sandbox
Installation
1. Extract and run.
Changelog
v0.03
- Part 1 of the prologue focusing on life just before the fallout.
v0.02
- What’s New in This Build
- Cast List: You can now check out a full cast menu in-game! It’s designed for referencing character histories—think names, bios, decisions you made. The main cast is there, plus the girls’ moms, with detailed bios to flesh out their backstories. It’s scrollable and should help keep track of everyone as the story grows.
- Rudimentary Email System: I’ve added a basic email interface for some light storytelling beats. It’s tied to managing the studio—think quick messages from characters that nudge the plot or affect dialogue choices. Nothing fancy (not planning to sink tons of time into it), just a fun little mechanic to mix things up.
- Character Models: The main cast is fully modeled now—Anastasia, April, Rachel, and the rest of the girls—alongside their moms. These are built in Daz Studio, and despite some rendering hiccups (more on that below), they’re ready. Animations are sparse, but learning as I go.
