Overview
S.H.E.L.T.E.R. - An Apocalyptic Tale is a 2D sandbox adult adventure for players who want a survival story wrapped around a large cast of women. The tone stays grim on the surface and personal underneath, mixing hardship with intimacy.
Story
After a nuclear disaster collapses the shelters meant to protect humanity, survivors face a choice between starving underground or dying of radiation above. The protagonist finds a different path forward, one that lets him build something other survivors couldn't: a chance at safety, and at connection with the people he meets along the way.
Gameplay
Play centers on managing a shelter and its inhabitants day to day, balancing exploration of the ruined surface with time spent building relationships back home. Choices made throughout affect how individual character arcs unfold, and decisions carry forward to a final encounter late in the game that determines which ending and epilogue the player receives.
