Shades

Shades is a text-based interactive fiction for players who enjoy choice-driven stories with a slow-building sense of mystery. It favors atmosphere and consequence over fast action.

Story

The story follows a young woman who finds herself pulled into a complicated situation she didn't ask for. As she meets new people and pieces together what's really going on, every choice she makes opens or closes a different path forward.

Gameplay

Progress comes from reading and choosing: each decision nudges the story toward a different outcome, and the game tracks these branches all the way to one of several distinct endings. Scenes are illustrated with CG art rather than acted out through minigames, keeping the focus on the narrative and its turns.
