Overview

Serene Skies is a visual novel dating sim for players who want romance paired with a military aviation backdrop. The tone stays warm and character-focused even against a wartime setting.

Story

As a new fighter pilot assigned to the HMS Yuritopia, the protagonist joins Seraph Squadron and starts to wonder whether love has any place amid combat duty. The game follows his growing connections with the women around him as he settles into squadron life.

Gameplay

Progress alternates between arcade-style flight missions and visual novel scenes where you get to know your squadmates. Conversations and choices shape how those relationships develop, with the flying segments giving a break from the dialogue-driven downtime. The pacing borrows from both genres it draws on, mixing combat stretches with slower, character-driven scenes.

Visual overhaul of the sprites -Bug fixes
The previous update was a bit buggy so while I was doing some quick fixes I thought it’d be a good opportunity to try a complete switch out of the sprites like I mentioned before in my devlog. If players like the new change, I’ll keep it like this going forward.
I think the game looks more cohesive this way and it gives me the opportunity to make far more expressions, outfits etc.
The old sprite pictures will be added to the galley if this becomes a permanent feature.
