Overview
Say Yes is a sci-fi visual novel for players who enjoy character-driven dating sims with weightier themes underneath the romance. It leans thoughtful and occasionally intense rather than purely lighthearted.
Story
Matthew Lockhart is a 21-year-old college graduate stuck under his father's expectations, with no real sense of direction. That changes when an unseen guiding presence enters his life, revealing that Matthew has a role to play in saving humanity itself. The player takes on that guiding role, and how Matthew is led, gently or firmly, shapes what happens to him and to the world he's meant to save.
Gameplay
Playing as the unseen presence guiding Matthew, you make choices that shape his trust, his mindset, and his willingness to cooperate with the larger goal set before him. Conversations and decisions steer the relationship along different tones, from encouraging and permissive to strict and demanding, with consequences that follow. A minigame breaks up the visual novel pacing alongside the usual reading and choice-making.
Features
- Sci-fi story built around morality, free will, and ethical dilemmas rather than a simple romance plot
- Branching approach to guiding Matthew, from indulgent to controlling
- 3DCG presentation with animated scenes
- Humor and teasing woven into the more serious tone
Installation
1. Extract and run.
