Overview
SAO is a full-dive adventure for players who like competitive game-world premises with a school setting twist. It leans into parody and strategy rather than straight action, with a calm, slightly satirical tone.
Story
A new full-dive online game launches with no trailers, no gameplay footage, and only a rumor that its limited winners will collect a huge cash prize backed by a corporate sponsor. Out of the flood of people trying to log in on release day, the protagonist is one of the few who actually gets in, and finds themselves inside a virtual world where the usual rules of time and competition no longer apply as expected.
Gameplay
Play centers on navigating this virtual game from the inside, moving through chapters that mix exploration, dialogue choices, and turn-based combat encounters. Strategy elements come into play when deciding how to approach fights and events, while the school setting and parody tone shape the world's rules and its cast of NPCs. Progress is chapter-based, with story branches and optional scenes woven into the main path rather than a fully open sandbox.
Features
- 2D character art combined with 3D-style scene presentation
- Turn-based combat woven into an otherwise story-driven adventure
- A parody take on competitive online-game tropes, set within a school-like virtual world
- Female-domination themes folded into select story scenes
Installation
1. Extract and run.

- Added an option to skip the grind section at the start of Chapter 2 (talk to the sign)
- Added a way out for players who got stuck in the Fiona Loop event later in Chapter 2 (outside Fiona’s room you’ll find a familiar fairy who will help you out)
- Added 3 scenes/options leading to scenes in Chapter 1
- Overhauled some stuff
- Retconned some story >
v0.2.1
- I included a save file roughly halfway through the first part (Fiona is about to take something from you). Don't hesitate to play through it yourself though, since I overhauled part one to some extend:
- Edited/added dialoge
- Extended some maps
- Edited some scenes and renders
- Added a few new scenes/choices
- Added QoL stuff (shortcut in forest area, increased EP gain by ~20%, lowered some requirements for certain scenes, giving some hints here and there on what to do...)
