Overview

Sadie Gets a Life is a 2D adventure RPG for players who want a classic-style fantasy world played with a wink. It's calm, wordy in the best way, and unhurried about its romance.

Story

Sadie is an ordinary office worker until Truck-Kun sends her to another world, and she quickly recognizes her new situation as something straight out of the romance novels and adult games she loves. As the world's newest hero, she sets out to explore it, talk to its people, and figure out what kind of mark she wants to leave, one adventure at a time.

Gameplay

Play unfolds as turn-based exploration and combat, with Sadie traveling between tiers, reading the world's books and paintings for lore, and taking on roles as adventurer, diplomat, and occasional monster-slayer. Combat mixes first-person encounters with tactical third-person battles built around a simulated training system, giving fights some variety alongside the usual RPG progression. Relationships and intimacy develop slowly, woven into the same conversations and side content that build out the setting.

Sadie can visit Colton's Training Company on Tier 11 and build up her leadership skills using the Simulacron, an incredible piece of magic! This also introduces third-person tactical battles, a different style from the standard first-person fighting Sadie enjoys so much.

Amerinth sends Sadie digging into clues around Operation Fireball.
If Sadie succeeded in her initial training, Amerinth sends her out to develop contacts among the residents of Harmonia.
Neemar needs a hobby and he's come up with one! That might just earn him a nice reward.
Sadie can show off her black dress to Ellanon, though the dress doesn't stay on for all that long.
Dinestra and Ptolmeres have a long discussion on the nature of justice. Sadie may or may not pay attention--that's your call!

What's Better
You can now mouse over states (enemy or player) and see a tooltip describing what each state means.
I've reduced the variance for each player skill from 20% to 10%. In other words, an attack that normally does 100 damage will do somewhere between 90 and 110 versus a range of 80-120 as we had before. This reduced variance makes it easier to see growth due to skill levels, better equipment, and player leveling.
What's Fixed
Fixed bug with recollection room and Visit a Psychologist 4.
Fixed an issue where Sabrina levitates above the Half Windsor hotel instead of letting Sadie take her on a date. To be fair, she's very nervous.
Fixed the location of Learn Spycraft with Amerinth's "Trash an office" quest objective. The description now has the correct location of the Bureaucratic Office on Tier 8.
