Running the Red Light

Running the Red Light is a 3D dating sim for players who want a sandbox game with a harder, morally grey edge. The tone is cynical and transactional rather than sweet.

Story

After his family's fortune collapses and debtors close in, the protagonist flees to Senburn, a city built on sin, exploitation, and money. With nothing left to his name, he has to decide how far he's willing to go to survive and climb back to power in a place where sex and cruelty are currency, and the Red Light District rewards whoever is ruthless enough to rule it.

Gameplay

Players guide the protagonist through Senburn as he builds connections, income, and reputation from almost nothing. Progress comes from managing relationships with the women he meets, choosing how ruthless or charming to be, and taking on work tied to the city's sex trade to fund his rise. A profile-based tracking system helps keep tabs on where each character's storyline currently stands.
