Overview
Rediscovering Maria is a visual novel for players who want a grounded story about a married couple working through infidelity and distance. The tone is reflective rather than lighthearted, built around real relationship stakes.
Story
Maria and her husband have been married seven years, raising two kids while the spark between them faded under work and stress. A year apart while he worked in Germany led Maria to flirt with her trainer, and though nothing physical happened, the guilt drove her to confess. Now that he's home, the two take a two-week vacation to rebuild trust and figure out what their marriage—and their desires—will look like going forward.
Gameplay
Players follow the couple through their vacation, making choices that shape how open and adventurous their relationship becomes. Branching paths let you explore different dynamics between the two leads, with animated scenes marking key moments along the way. The pacing favors dialogue and decision-making over any kind of resource management or side systems.
Features
- 3D character models with animated scenes rendered in detail
- Multiple paths reflecting different relationship dynamics, including dominant and submissive dynamics on both sides
- A story grounded in a specific, ongoing marriage rather than a wider cast of unconnected partners
Notes
This is a netorare-focused title built around themes of infidelity and jealousy within the marriage; players sensitive to that dynamic should know it's central to the story, not a side path.
Installation
