Psychic Operation X is a 2D visual novel for players who want a psychic-powers premise with a darker, explicit edge. The tone mixes school-life drama with uncomfortable, exploitative situations.

Story

Suguru Noyama is a student with psychic abilities working to stop a psychic criminal known only as "X". His support comes from Magane Pulse, a skilled psychokinesis user attached to the Superpower Countermeasures Office. As Noyama's powers grow, he becomes entangled in visions of Pulse suffering at X's hands, and his choices determine how her fate, and the fight against X, unfold.

Gameplay

Players move Noyama around a map to trigger events and gradually strengthen his psychic abilities through clairvoyance and thoughtography. There is no combat; instead, the story branches based on dialogue choices and how developed Noyama's powers become, leading to different outcomes involving Pulse and X.
