Overview
Powers That Be is a story-driven dating sim for players who want slow-build family drama with a sci-fi edge. The tone mixes dark secrets with irreverent humor rather than played-straight melodrama.
Story
A successful man puts his career on hold to look after his shy goddaughter, whose empathic powers let her influence the emotions of everyone around her. As the two grow closer and dig into buried events from their shared past, the story widens into a web of drama, conspiracy, and revelation involving a desperate married boss, a curvy ex-wife, a sporty stepdaughter, and a pair of mysterious exchange students.
Gameplay
Progress unfolds through dialogue choices and story chapters that shape how relationships and secrets develop over time. Scenes are rendered in animated 3DCG with a first-person point of view, and an optional guidance mode is available for players who want to track how their choices affect the people around them.

- The Official BOG Walkthrough Mode has been implemented! If you want to know the effects of your in-game choices and keep track of points, switch it on in the settings! (Warning: kinda cheating!)

- Testing out other new Voices, Render and Animation styles
- We recommend restarting a new playthrough due to numerous backend changes. There’s a chance you may otherwise encounter unintended story or game issues moving forward should you choose not to, or miss out on some character's points. Replaying will also give you the opportunity to check out the new animations, renders, and dialogues as well as use the Walkthrough Mode to play the game the way you intended!
