Potion of Desire is a 2D RPG for players who want dark fantasy corruption stories with a management edge. Its tone is grim and morally weighted, favoring hard choices over lighthearted fantasy.

Story

Elara, a skilled but poor alchemist, comes to Port Nocturne hoping to create the Grand Panacea and save her dying mother. The city offers her no easy path: the Alchemist Guild demands obedience through figures like Justiciar Kaelen, while the Velvet Syndicate offers faster, dirtier solutions in the underworld. Her choices between these two forces shape how far she'll go, and how much of herself she'll lose along the way.

Gameplay

Play centers on managing Elara's alchemy work, finances, and time as she balances Guild expectations against underworld deals. Foraging, brewing, and planning her days feed into an RPG structure where resources and reputation determine which paths open. Decisions about who to trust and what risks to take steadily shape her corruption and the story's direction.

The Rusty Anchor Tavern** — Work as a waitress: earn gold, endure harassment and propositions. First-time work gets you a "fitting" in the back room, a green dress and corset, then your first shift. Night shifts bring a rougher crowd. Walk home drunk and you might get jumped in the alley. Spend 5 gold for rumors (hidden grove, Syndicate inspections).
Forest Lake** — A new discoverable location. Find it while foraging. What could go wrong?
Scene Gallery** — 13 scenes to unlock from the main menu. Locked ones show hints. Unlocks stay across playthroughs.
