Overview
MYSTIC MINE - The Bladeswoman and the Master of Makutsu is a 2D RPG for players who want a dark fantasy adventure with a moral-consequence twist. Its tone shifts from earnest heroism to something far grimmer depending on the player's own choices.
Story
A skilled swordswoman descends into a mine overrun by monsters to rescue a young girl. Her actions in town along the way are tracked by a Morality parameter reflecting the community's ethical standing. As that value drops, the townsfolk grow colder, and letting it reach zero opens the door to a much darker version of the world she's trying to save.
Gameplay
Players guide a single-character party through mine exploration and turn-based combat while managing choices back in town that raise or lower Morality. Combat encounters can shift visually when the protagonist is overwhelmed, tying battle outcomes directly into the game's tone. Town interactions branch based on the current Morality state, changing what events and characters are willing to do.
Features
- A Morality system that visibly alters town behavior and unlocks distinct low-morality events
- Battle-state illustrations that change based on combat outcomes
- A solo-heroine RPG structure built around escalating consequence rather than open-ended sandbox play
Installation
1. Extract and run.
