Overview

Midnight Exploration is a 2D sandbox game for players who like slow-burn family drama with an adult edge. The tone stays quiet and personal rather than flashy.

Story

After his father's death, the protagonist is left to look after his mother through her grief. The player decides whether to guide her toward comfort and protection or push her toward corruption, with a drinking habit complicating every choice along the way.

Gameplay

Play unfolds through a sandbox structure where the player moves between locations, checks in on the mother, and makes choices that shift her stats and relationship status over time. A social media feed adds extra bits of world flavor between story beats, and stat thresholds slowly open new scenes as the mother's arc develops.
