Love of Magic

Love of Magic is a visual novel sandbox RPG for players who want an urban fantasy harem story with role-playing structure. The tone leans dramatic and romantic, with adult content woven into a longer campaign.

Story

A young man in rural Maryland discovers he has magical power after being hunted by undead creatures, forcing him to leave home for Edinburgh. There he learns that his new abilities are tied to a much larger world of gods, prophecy, and hidden magic, one that includes classmates who are far more than they seem. His search for answers becomes a search for companions, love, and his own destiny across three connected books.

Gameplay

Play unfolds as a mix of visual novel scenes and RPG systems, with turn-based combat, a card-based progression mechanic, and a day-by-day sandbox structure to manage across acts. Time is spent building relationships with companions, exploring Edinburgh, and advancing through story acts that carry over into New Game+ for each book. Choices affect which companions grow close and how the wider conflict develops.
