Overview
Jessica O'Neil's Hard News is a 3D adult adventure for players who want a story-driven visual novel with a voyeuristic streak. The tone stays grounded, following one woman's choices rather than a lighthearted romp.
Story
Jessica O'Neil is 25 and has spent a couple of years reporting for a local TV channel. Wanting more than that gives her, she takes a job at a newspaper to chase real investigative work. The player decides how far she'll go and what methods she'll use to get her stories.
Gameplay
Play unfolds through dialogue-driven scenes and choices that shape how Jessica pursues her leads and who she gets close to along the way. Decisions affect which paths open up and which scenes play out, with her career and personal entanglements developing side by side. Progress is tied to advancing through her assignments day by day rather than free roaming.
Features
- Branching paths tied to the choices Jessica makes during her investigations
- 3D character art built around a single protagonist's perspective
- Adult content woven into a career-focused narrative rather than a separate mode

- Progress in Jessica's journalist career, lesbian and faithful content.
- There's basically no straight cheating scene in the BETA. I will add one for the full version in the next weeks. There are also no sounds for the moment, no POV shots, and naturally no translations yet. I also want to take a closer look at some of the dialogues and maybe give them a touch or two, but nothing major.
- Make sure not to make saves in the BETA, because when I add everything and make all changes the saves you've made may no longer work. If that happens, or your old saves don't work, make sure to check the README for info on how to quickly skip dialogues.
