Jenshi

Jenshi is a text-based sandbox RPG for players who want a grim fantasy world with survival at its core. The tone is bleak and open-ended, leaving room for players who like shaping their own path.

Story

The world of Jenshi has already fallen into ruin, worn down by war and poverty. Players begin as one small, unremarkable person inside this collapse, with no fixed destiny. Whether that means adding to the chaos, exploiting it, enduring it, or working to change it is left entirely to the player.

Gameplay

Play starts with choosing an origin, which shapes where and how your character enters this broken world. From there, movement, time, and daily needs like rent form the basic rhythm of survival, while exploring locations such as the tavern brings you into contact with NPCs who follow their own schedules. The current systems are foundational, focused on establishing the sandbox structure the world runs on.
