Intertwined

Intertwined is a 2D visual novel dating sim for players who want dark fantasy and horror mixed with romance from a male protagonist's perspective. The tone stays uneasy and atmospheric rather than lighthearted.

Story

Life follows a fixed, unbreakable cycle for most who live within it, but a rare few, called Transcendents, are born outside its rules. Something older and vaster stirs at the center of existence, a power once dismissed as legend, and its presence begins to press into the protagonist's world and mind. As he's drawn deeper into what watches from the dark, his path becomes bound to forces and people he can't fully separate from his own fate.

Gameplay

Players guide the protagonist through story chapters told in visual-novel form, making choices that shape his relationships and which of several endings he reaches. Along the way the game folds in transformation and gender-bender elements, tying changes in identity and body to the supernatural forces closing in on him. Romance develops alongside the horror plot, with exhibitionism and stripping scenes appearing as part of certain character interactions.
