Overview
I want to run away from my goth mommy... or do I? is a kinetic visual novel for players who enjoy short, tense encounters with an undercurrent of dark humor. It plays out as a fixed story rather than an open-ended experience.
Story
Ducking into a convenience store to escape the heat seems harmless enough. Instead the protagonist finds the door locked behind him and a woman waiting inside: petite, short black hair, plain clothes, and a stare that makes his skin crawl. What follows is less about escaping her and more about whether he actually wants to.
Gameplay
The game unfolds as a linear read with choices that steer the protagonist's reactions rather than branch into a sandbox. As the woman's influence grows, the narrative leans into voyeuristic and mind-control beats, pushing toward one of several possible endings depending on how the player responds along the way.
Features
- Multiple distinct endings shaped by dialogue choices

Changelog
v1.0
- It's ready. Version 1.0. A lot of things I didn't do the way I wanted, a lot was redone, but it is what it is. I might make an update or an addition a little later, but the game is fully complete.
- Version 1.0 Changelog:
- +20k words of story
- 7 new endings
- 2 new CGs
- 1 new music track
v0.4
- So, I had some things to take care of, but I've returned with a small update. I can immediately announce that the next update, scheduled for February (next month), will complete this small test story. There will be 3 paths in total. Without the patch, only 1 path is available, but it's complete.
- Overall, I have an idea for the next, non-test project, which would use my current developments. But I decided to fully complete this test project first before moving on to a new one. Everything is going according to plan.
- And I'm going silent again until the next, final update. Don't lose me, see you all in February.
- I can say right away that this is more of a refactoring of the current version. There's no new content here, only important fixes and preparation for the future. So if you've already played the demo—you haven't missed anything at the moment.
Minor changes:
- Fixed a bug causing a critical error when exploring the house (thanks for the feedback!)
- Fixed skin tone on CG artwork
- Made slight changes to the Gothess's sprite (removed a highlight on the lower eyelid)
- Minor grammar and punctuation improvements
- Corrected over 400 lines of code (minor adjustments)
- Changed the font (for future translation versatility)
