Overview
How to Raise a Happy NEET is a dating sim for players who want a slower, domestic adult story with a caretaking angle. The tone stays intimate and character-focused rather than fast-paced.
Story
A quiet Saturday night is interrupted when a relative arrives with the protagonist's distant cousin Shizuku, whose parents have vanished and left her behind. Asked to take her in, he agrees, and the two settle into a shared daily life as her past and the reasons behind her abandonment slowly come to light.
Gameplay
Play centers on caring for Shizuku through everyday routines like feeding and looking after her while dialogue and point-and-click interactions move the relationship forward. As trust builds, scenes shift between tender and explicit moments, with player choices shaping how the relationship develops and which of several endings is reached.
