Home Sweet Home is a 3D adult visual novel with sandbox exploration, made for players who like slow-burn family drama with a darker edge. The tone stays grounded and personal rather than comedic.

Story

As a boy, the protagonist lost his mother under mysterious circumstances, and his father brought in a Nanny and her two daughters to raise him while drinking heavily and beating her. At thirteen, he acted to stop the abuse, with consequences that scattered the household. Five years later, now an adult, he returns to confront what happened and try to rebuild a life with the people it broke.

Gameplay

Play unfolds from a first-person male perspective, moving between locations to advance freeroaming events and phone-tracked leads involving the people from his past. Time is spent observing household routines, catching private moments, and steering conversations that shift how each woman in the house responds to him. A smartphone menu keeps tabs on ongoing threads so nothing has to be tracked by memory alone.
