Hicked

Story

In a rebuilt, dystopian future Japan, Ikaru Kai leaves his rural hometown for Kannagawa, the new capital. There he learns of the "God Killers," a white-haired people who face open discrimination, and grows close to Makiri Shogo, a bullied classmate who belongs to that group. Unable to change the wider world, Ikaru chooses to stand beside one person in it.

Gameplay

Play centers on dialogue and story choices that shape Ikaru's relationship with Makiri and the path toward one of several endings. Turn-based combat sequences break up the visual novel pacing at points in the story. Animated 2D scenes mark key relationship moments as the two grow closer.
